Fidamy·Netherlands

About Us Fidamy is a leading embedded insurance operator, seamlessly integrating innovative non-life insurance products into our partners’ digital and physical customer journeys. Our mission is to help partners generate new revenue streams and build lasting customer loyalty by making insurance simple, accessible, and impactful.   Our engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the robust infrastructure that powers these embedded insurance solutions. We enable our partners to quickly and reliably integrate insurance offerings through clean, secure integrations and highly reliable production systems.   Solving complex technical challenges in a regulated, data-heavy market dominated by legacy systems is what makes our work both demanding and rewarding. By making insurance integration fast, secure, and developer-friendly, we unlock enormous market potential.   Backed by NN Ventures, Fidamy operates as a high-trust, close-knit engineering team. Our engineers take broad ownership, influence product direction, and create software designed for scale and longevity.   Why Now? Embedded insurance is at a pivotal point: projected to grow from 1% to 16% of global insurance spend by 2032—a $3 trillion opportunity. Fidamy is moving fast to play a significant role in this transformation. If you are seeking a high-impact engineering role in a scaling startup, now is the time to join us.   What You’ll Do Build and deliver features across the stack: working on both partner and customer journeys, backend services, and insurance/payment integrations. Act as the first technical contact during application incidents—whether caused by our services or partner systems—and maintain the dashboards, runbooks, and tools to resolve issues quickly. Ensure transactional accuracy for crucial flows (pricing, payment, policy issuance) with robust end-to-end testing. Support commercial deals: respond to technical questions from prospects, set up sandboxes, and assist with integrations. Own deliverables end-to-end: from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing iteration. Leverage AI-driven development tools (including coding agents), write clear specifications and tests, and review outputs with rigor. Shape the technical roadmap, making pragmatic trade-offs and driving up engineering standards through code reviews.   Our tech stack AI-driven development: Claude Code and coding agents as standard tooling Ways of working: test-driven development by default (failing test first), architecture decision records, everything reviewed, shipped continuously Application: React, Vite, Tailwind, Node.js (TypeScript), Python Data stores: PostgreSQL, S3, NoSQL Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform Observability: OpenTelemetry, with managed tracing and alerting on top Data & AI: Databricks, AWS Bedrock   Our Culture Move the Needle: Focus on systems and features with real partner and customer impact. Master Your Craft: Prioritize deep focus for quality work, encourage knowledge sharing and tech exploration. Customer Obsession: Work closely with partners to deeply understand and solve their technical challenges. Be Different: Challenge traditional insurance tech while ensuring enterprise-grade reliability. Thrive Together: Foster fast-paced innovation balanced with thoughtful execution and collaboration.   What We’re Looking For Proven experience building and shipping production systems using TypeScript and React, with confidence across the stack. Test-driven development practitioner, using TDD as a design and quality tool, building systems around domain models, not just database schemas. Demonstrated ownership of outcomes end-to-end, not just tickets—can show tangible results. Hands-on in incident response, comfortable handling support queries and resolving system issues independently. Daily practitioner of AI-driven development: familiar with coding agents, specifications, and iterative refinement. Experience managing AWS-based systems and interpreting production telemetry. Entrepreneurial and pragmatic: proactively picks up responsibilities, collaborates cross-functionally, and creates runbooks and documentation as needed. Disciplined about change management—especially where money, personal data, and compliance are concerned. Strong communicator, collaborative team player, and able to work directly with partners. Willingness to work from our Amsterdam office at least two days per week.   Why Join Us Competitive compensation Brand new MacBook Pro and equipment Paid access to Claude Code and in-house AI agent tools for faster, safer shipping Flexible hybrid work (2-3 days in office) Visa sponsorship available (including transfer of Dutch visa; no relocation support) Beautiful Amsterdam office High autonomy and direct influence on architectural and product direction Visible impact on strategy, product, and partner outcomes Fast-track career growth Close collaboration with company leadership and customers   Ready to Join Us? Senior Platform Engineer

Fidamy·Netherlands

About Fidamy Fidamy is redefining insurance by seamlessly embedding innovative, non-life insurance products into our partners' digital and physical customer journeys. We empower our partners to unlock new revenue streams and build lasting customer loyalty.   Our engineering team is the backbone of this mission. We design and maintain the modern infrastructure that powers embedded insurance at scale, enabling our partners to deliver insurance effortlessly through clean, reliable integrations.   We're tackling complex technical challenges in a regulated, data-intensive landscape long dominated by legacy systems—a huge opportunity for transformation. Making insurance integration fast, secure, and developer-friendly can unlock an enormous market.   Our goal: replace fragile insurance tech with robust, scalable software. We build production systems where correctness, security, and performance are essential, not optional.   Backed by NN Ventures, we operate as a small, high-trust engineering team. Every engineer helps shape architecture and product decisions and contributes software built to stand the test of time.   Why Now? Embedded insurance is expected to grow from 1% to 16% of global insurance spending by 2032—a $3 trillion opportunity. Fidamy is poised to play a leading role as the market transforms.   We're moving rapidly and scaling fast. We're looking for a sharp, hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to help drive our technology forward. If you want a high-impact, entrepreneurial role at a fast-growing startup, this is your moment.   What You'll Do Build and own the reliability and scalability of our production systems, cloud infrastructure, and codebase, ensuring the platform securely manages sensitive financial and personal data. Lead backup and disaster recovery across the platform: define clear recovery targets, rehearse and validate restores, and provide evidence of resilience. Be the first responder when platform incidents arise—whether they’re infrastructure issues, pipeline failures, or security events—and lead the follow-up to prevent recurrence. Share responsibility for our Infrastructure as Code: review and author changes, and keep our infrastructure safe to evolve. Maintain and enhance deployment tooling (TypeScript, with tests) for continuous, safe releases to production. Consistently strengthen the platform security baseline with ongoing improvements such as edge protection, audit logging, pipeline scanning, and secret rotation. Own and develop our authorisation model, ensuring every operation passes robust, externalised permission checks for both people and AI agents. Use AI-driven development as standard: direct coding agents, specify and test requirements, and rigorously review results. Influence the technical roadmap, participate in design reviews, and set a high standard for engineering quality across the team.   Tech Stack AI-driven development: Claude Code and coding agents as standard tooling Ways of working: test-driven development, for the deployment tooling as much as for the applications; infrastructure changes reviewed and applied through the pipeline; shipped continuously Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform Data stores: PostgreSQL, S3, NoSQL Application: React, Vite, Tailwind, Node.js (TypeScript), Python Observability: OpenTelemetry, with managed tracing and alerting on top Data & AI: Databricks, AWS Bedrock   Our Culture Move the Needle: Build systems that create tangible impact for partners and customers. Be Different: Challenge industry norms while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability. Thrive Together: Innovate quickly and execute thoughtfully in a collaborative setting.   What We're Looking For Robust, hands-on AWS expertise and fluency with Terraform, a non-negotiable requirement. You can review and improve existing cloud estates thoroughly. Experience running real-world restores in production and setting clear recovery targets. Reliability, SLOs, and incident response are central to your approach. Experience designing robust permission models and working with extrinsic (outside the app) authorization systems. Proficiency in a modern programming language (TypeScript, Python, or Go) and willingness to work in TypeScript for deployment and authorization tooling. Familiarity with AI-driven software development: comfortable orchestrating coding agents and using specifications/tests as their interface. Proven record of owning outcomes end-to-end (not just completing tickets), with evidence to back it up. Excellent instincts for security within regulated environments dealing with money and personal data. Insurance/Insurtech experience is a plus but not required. Proactive, pragmatic, and communicative; you’re a problem-solver and team contributor in a small, agile environment. Ability to travel to the Amsterdam office at least two days per week.   Why Join Us? Competitive compensation Latest MacBook Pro and equipment Paid licences for Claude Code, AI agents, and leading development tools Flexible hybrid work (2–3 days in the office) Visa sponsorship available (including takeover of an existing Dutch visa; no relocation support) Beautiful Amsterdam office High ownership and direct influence on architecture and product Opportunity for fast-track career growth Work closely with leadership and partners   Ready to Join?
