Senior Backend Engineer, AI Platform (Toqan)

Prosus·Netherlands

Who We Are You've ordered dinner through Just Eat Takeaway. You've bought and sold on OLX. You've paid with PayU. Chances are, you've already used a Prosus company today. We are Prosus, a global technology company powering some of the world's leading lifestyle ecommerce businesses. Every day, billions of people across India, Latin America, Europe and beyond use our products and services to buy, sell, pay, connect and discover. Our AI-driven ecosystem spans 100+ companies across ecommerce, food delivery, fintech and experiences, serving billions of consumers worldwide. AI powers how we operate and innovate, with more than 60,000 active AI agents helping our teams build, scale and move faster. Through our investment team, we also back the founders and technologies shaping the future: From robotics and autonomous systems to synthetic biology and frontier AI. Guided by our five values Innovation, Results, People, Impact, and Entrepreneurship, culture is our competitive advantage. We thrive with experimentation; we build, we test, we learn, we iterate. Join us in shaping the future of technology at global scale. The Opportunity Toqan is Prosus's internal AI platform — the infrastructure and tooling layer that powers agentic AI-driven products across the entire group. We are building secure, configurable agent runtimes that can operate reliably at scale across different products, channels and use cases..   You’ll work where distributed systems meet applied AI: orchestrating models and tools, enabling agents to perform long-running work, and turning rapidly evolving AI capabilities into dependable platform primitives. The challenges span asynchronous workflows, isolated execution, extensible integrations, reliability, observability and cost control. The Toqan platform serves the whole Prosus portfolio and other connected businesses, which means the backend systems you build here have reach far beyond a single team. You'll join a 12-person engineering team in Amsterdam and work closely with product, platform and AI colleagues to ship end-to-end — at pace, without compromising quality. Who You Are You are a senior backend engineer who has moved well past following patterns and into setting them. You're comfortable owning architectural decisions on novel infrastructure — the kind where the right answer isn't obvious and the stakes are real. You think in systems, spot failure modes early, and hold a high bar for production quality without letting perfect block good. The 80/20 mindset comes naturally: you know when to go deep and when to ship. You've likely come from a startup or high-velocity environment where shipping fast wasn't a culture slogan — it was survival. You know how to cut scope without cutting corners, move from zero to production without a safety net, and iterate quickly on systems that are still finding their shape. You're genuinely curious about the AI and LLM space — not as a trend to track, but as a domain where you've already done hands-on integration work and want to go further. AI tools aren't an afterthought in how you work — you use them daily, whether that's Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or OpenAI Codex, and you've developed real judgment about where they accelerate work and where they don't. You operate with low ego, share context freely, and thrive in an environment where autonomy and accountability go hand in hand. Ambiguity doesn't slow you down — it's where you do your best work. What You Bring Strong Go programming skills with a track record of building and operating production backend services Hands-on AWS experience — designing, deploying, and operating cloud-native services at scale Experience integrating LLMs, AI models or tool-calling systems into production applications Familiarity with agentic architectures and protocols such as MCP, A2A A systems mindset, with attention to reliability, scalability, performance and security Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and production observability A record of working across product and platform teams to deliver outcomes end-to-end Regular, thoughtful use of AI coding tools as part of your development workflow Nice to haves Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems that use tools and execute multi-step workflows Experience building or maintaining event-sourced systems Python programming skills Experience with AI or ML infrastructure and developer productivity tooling Your Typical Day No two days look exactly the same. You might design a new capability for the agent runtime, improve how models and tools are orchestrated, investigate a production reliability issue, or take an integration from an early prototype to a secure, observable service. You’ll spend much of your time building in Go, reviewing code and making architectural decisions with the team. You’ll also work closely with product, platform and AI colleagues to shape requirements, test ideas and ship them safely. Along the way, you’ll improve the testing, deployment and observability foundations that let the team move quickly with confidence. What We Offer Global Impact: Play a crucial role in shaping the future of global commerce. Growth Opportunities: Expand your expertise through diverse global challenges and unique opportunities. Innovative Culture: Join a forward-thinking team that values strategic insights and fosters continuous innovation. We're one of the largest operators of agentic AI on the planet, inside a $100B+ portfolio across 100+ companies and two billion people. Zero Motorcycles Inc.·Netherlands

What to Expect We build electric motorcycles. The engineering underneath them needs to be as deliberate, reliable, and honest as the ride itself — and this role is central to making that true. The Mechanical Design Engineer IV is an autonomous technical contributor and practitioner who drives component and system-level development without requiring design guidance or mentoring. coordinates PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) readiness activities with supply chain and manufacturing engineering Vehicle Systems & Integration Collaborates at vehicle architecture level with programme CPL (Chief Platform Lead), ID (Industrial Design), powertrain, and electrical teams to resolve packaging conflicts and meet system-level requirements Owns or contributes to major structural design (frame interfaces, swingarm, headlight structure, tail section) and dynamic structure design (impact load paths) Applies simulation tools — FEA (Altair HyperWorks or equivalent), CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), thermal analysis — to validate design decisions before physical builds; interprets and acts on analysis results independently Specifies and approves assembly and service procedures for assigned systems Programme Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration Provides input to programme schedules and cost targets; holds own due dates and understands downstream impact of schedule changes on manufacturing, purchasing, and regulatory milestones Generates and tracks ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) / CRs (Change Records) through the SAP ECTR release cycle; maintains BOM accuracy Prepares engineering documents to support regulatory type approval submissions, manufacturing engineering, and after-sales / service documentation Works effectively across Zero's geographically distributed team spanning Netherlands, Scotts Valley (CA), and OEM / contract development partner sites; You'll own demand planning across all retail and non-retail categories, balancing waste against out-of-stocks, and building planning processes that can keep pace with menu changes and several product launches every year. You'll be the link between data and people: turning numbers into forecasts, and forecasts into decisions that work on the shop floor. You will work in the S&OP team together with other planners and system specialists. This team takes care of planning and the ERP system, working closely with operations and finance. What you'll do Demand planning and forecasting Own demand planning for the entire retail network across all CPG and non-CPG categories, with a clear focus on minimizing waste and out-of-stocks (OOS) Build, maintain, and continuously improve statistical forecasts at store and SKU level Integrate insights, promotions, events, and product launches from Marketing, Product, Operations, and other teams into the forecast model Monitor forecast accuracy, waste, and OOS KPIs, analyze root causes, and act on deviations Plan for seasonality, weather effects, local events, and store-specific patterns. Experience in coffee chains, food & beverage retail and supermarkets is a strong plus Solid knowledge of statistics and forecasting methods (e.g. time series, moving averages, regression) Hands-on experience managing fresh or short shelf-life products, where waste and availability must be carefully balanced Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, Python, R, or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker, Tableau) is a strong plus Experience with ERP systems is a plus Experience planning promotions, product launches, and assortment changes A degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is a strong plus Proficiency in English, Dutch is a plus Bonus: experience integrating AI or machine learning into demand planning Bonus: experience in a fast-growing or scale-up environment Bonus: experience with Odoo Who you are Data-driven first: you base your analyses and decisions on data, but you also understand that not everything can be measured, and you know how to weigh non-quantifiable factors and the human element A clear communicator: you're equally comfortable presenting to leadership as you are talking with colleagues in the stores and warehouse, adjusting your message to your audience Structured and proactive: you bring order to complexity and spot problems before they happen A builder: you enjoy improving and scaling processes, not just running them Hands-on and curious: you like visiting stores to understand what's behind the numbers, and you're eager to learn new tools and methods A team player: you build strong relationships across departments and take ownership of results Calm under pressure: you keep a cool head during launches, peaks, and unexpected changes What we offer Work in a young, flexible, international, and entrepreneurial team Unlimited enjoyment of the best coffee Flexible working hours Salary: 3500 € - 4500 € gross based on experience (based on full-time employment ) Hours: 36-40 per week Opportunities for growth within the organization

Creative Traffic Manager

Tony's Chocolonely·Netherlands

Why we are here Together, we can fight exploitation in cocoa. Full stop. Tony's is an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too. What you will do We are looking for a Creative Traffic Manager to be the operational heartbeat of our Creative team: a strategic right hand to the Global Head of Creative, the person who holds the overview, and a trusted enabler for the entire team. You will be the central connector, with full visibility of what is happening across the team, spotting overlaps, resolving bottlenecks, and bringing clarity and flow so the team can deliver brilliant work, on time, every time. This role goes beyond day-to-day operations. You will lead projects that improve how the team collaborates, grows, and delivers, laying the foundations for a world-class creative function. If you are a natural organiser with a creative soul who thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment and loves building systems that empower creativity rather than constrain it, this is your role. The position is part of the Brand & Communications team and reports to the Global Head of Creative. All wrapped up Own creative resourcing and workflow: Manage the creative team's resourcing plan, ensuring the right people are on the right projects at the right time. Oversee requests and stakeholder management in ClickUp and manage timelines in Harvest and other tools as needed. Lead and optimise creative processes: Drive operational excellence by continuously improving creative workflows, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and clarity across the team. Act as the strategic right hand: Support the Global Head of Creative by translating creative and business priorities into actionable team planning, identifying organisational risks, and ensuring decisions are followed through. Manage agency partners and freelancers. Manage creative briefing and prioritisation: Partner with stakeholders to intake, scope, and prioritise creative requests, ensuring alignment with business goals and available capacity. Drive strategic operations initiatives: Lead projects that transform how the team works, from tooling upgrades and onboarding processes to expanding the freelance roster, building creative playbooks, and embedding AI into workflows. Uphold creative quality and consistency: Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and project managers to maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across markets and channels. Coordinate cross-functional creative delivery: Act as creative operations lead on key projects such as packaging and innovation launches, ensuring timelines, resources, and creative delivery are aligned across teams. Our new flavor 10+ years of experience in creative operations, project management, or studio management, either agency-side or in-house. You know what it takes to keep a creative team running smoothly at pace. Proven ability to manage creative workflows and resourcing in a fast-paced, growing environment. You have built or improved systems that helped creative teams deliver better work more efficiently. A natural connector with strong stakeholder management skills. You collaborate and manage with diplomacy across all levels, from designers to market leads to external partners. Operationally excellent and highly organised. You manage multiple moving parts with clarity and calm, and you thrive when things are dynamic and evolving. You need little guidance to deliver and love to challenge the status quo. Creative empathy and curiosity. You understand and respect the creative process. You enable rather than police, and you are always exploring new ideas, tools, and techniques to improve how the team works. Strategic and commercial thinking. You connect creative outputs to business objectives, bring everything back to the brief, and proactively improve systems and ways of working. A growth mindset with critical thinking and flexibility. You adapt quickly within a growing company and are comfortable with ambiguity. You thrive in a dynamic creative environment, where priorities shift, and processes are still evolving. You bring calm clarity and structure helping the team adapt, find solutions and keep great work moving forward Experience with creative tools and project management platforms (ClickUp and Harvest are a bonus). We are all about being more in person than apart: this means we offer flexibility but see each other in the office on average 3 days a week. More is fine too! Believe wholeheartedly in Tony's purpose. You live our core values: outspoken, in it together, entrepreneurial, raise the bar, and makes you smile. Our benefits (the icing on the cake) At Tony's you will get the opportunity to be part of something extraordinary: first and foremost, by making real impact in the world but also enjoying the nice benefits we provide as you help us succeed. We are dedicated to enabling all Tonys to grow and develop their careers and therefore we offer training programs, regular feedback cycles, coaching and a generous L&D budget. We also offer a wide range of additional benefits, including a luxurious vega-lunch, company bonus, minimum of 28 holidays, inspirational team updates, unforgettable events and unlimited chocolate. But we also know chocolate will not cover the bills, so we have made sure your salary is just as rewarding. For this role that means a salary between 58k - 73k on a yearly basis, including holiday pay. Sounds like you? Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? Look no further! If you are ready to take the chocolate industry to new heights with us, we would love to hear from you! Please send your direct application, no agencies. We cannot wait to hear from you! Product Project Management Intern

Tony's Chocolonely·Netherlands

Why we are here Together, we can fight exploitation in cocoa. Full stop. Tony’s is an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. And to drive that mission forward, our Product Delivery team plays a key role in making sure our projects run smoothly, and our product portfolio keeps growing. We're managing a diverse range of projects, from product innovation (think: a brand-new bar flavor) and product renovation (like redesigning packaging) to product roll-outs and operational projects (such as ingredient supplier changeovers). We're also upgrading our tools (hello, ClickUp and SharePoint) and moving from Excel to BI for our product catalogue. And that's where you come in. Here's what you'll learn: Project management. Learn how cross-functional projects are managed within an FMCG company, from kick-off to launch on shelf. You'll be involved in product innovation projects (e.g. developing new bar flavors), product renovation projects (e.g. changing a product's packaging or design), product roll-outs, and operational projects (e.g. ingredient supplier changeover). You'll support running these projects and even execute smaller ones yourself. PMO (process & PM admin). Understand how a project management tool can support project management and governance. Get hands-on with ClickUp (Tony’s project management tool) and SharePoint to build and optimize templates, dashboards, and processes. Portfolio management. Maintain and understand Tony's product portfolio and explore how to improve it through automation with BI tools. Here's what you'll do: You'll be working on real projects with real impact from day one. Here's what's on the table: Project Management Tool: Improve ClickUp for product and ops project templates and build dashboards for governance, making project tracking smoother for the whole team. Product Catalogue Management: Maintain and improve the global product overview and create a proposal to fully transition from Excel to BI, because spreadsheets have their limits. Project Management Support: Support project teams on running projects, execute small projects independently, and help roll out Project Management training globally. Product Homepage & Product Academy: Build the Product team's SharePoint homepage and help shape the Product Academy. The homepage is still a work in progress, so you'll own it end to end. Job requirements: You're studying Business, Communication, Project Management, or a related field. You're well-organized, work in a structured way, and can prioritize effectively. You enjoy juggling multiple things at the same time and have strong communication skills, as you'll be coordinating with many different stakeholders. Experience with project management and/or project management tools (e.g. ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Trello) from a previous internship or job is a plus. Raise the bar. Challenge yourself and team Tony's to increase our ambition and to accomplish our mission. Make mistakes along the way and learn from them. Believe wholeheartedly in Tony's mission. You live our core values: Outspoken, In it together, Makes you smile, Entrepreneurial and Raise the bar. Here are the hard facts: Starting on 1 February 2027, you'll be part of our Tony's team for 6 months. We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in our Amsterdam office on average 3 days a week. More is fine! You'll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a school for the duration of the internship. Here's what you can expect from us: You'll be part of an enthusiastic team of driven colleagues who share your love for Tony's and our commitment. We're a fast-growing international company, and we believe in doing things differently. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Tony's Chocolonely. You'll be challenged to raise the bar and make a real impact in the world. You'll have 14 vacation days over the six-month period, and we'll provide you with a monthly €550 internship allowance for a full-time (40h) internship. Our office in Amsterdam Houthavens is a truly sweet workspace: you'll enjoy a fresh and tasty lunch, and plenty of snacks. We know how to work hard, but we also know how to have fun. And of course, you get to take home as much chocolate as you can carry. Sounds like you? If you're ready to take the chocolate industry to new heights with us, we'd love to hear from you! Everybody is welcome to apply. From classics to limited editions, we know that different is what makes us great. At Tony's, we welcome everyone with equal enthusiasm, regardless of race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, disability or veteran status. Crazy about chocolate, serious about people. A note on AI 🤖 - AI is great at many things. But capturing what makes you you? Not so much. So when you're applying, we'd love to hear your voice. The things that excite you, the way you think, and a glimpse of your personality help us understand who you are far better than a perfectly crafted AI answer.

Deputy Head of Legal

bunq·Netherlands

At bunq , users trust us with their money across 30+ countries, and that trust is only worth something if the legal framework behind it is airtight, proactive, and scales as fast as we do. We're heading towards our North Star and entering new markets, that doesn't happen without someone owning the legal infrastructure behind it: the strategy, the team, the AI-first operating model, and the accountability that makes all of it run without the Head of Legal in the loop every day. Take Ownership. As our Head of Trust & Transparency, you will: Be the layer between legal strategy and the team that executes it, translating quarterly priorities into clear ownership, running the accountability cycle, and making sure only real decisions reach the Head of Legal. Take bunq's AI tooling for contract review, T&C management, and regulatory monitoring to the next level, building an operating model that handles 5x the volume without 5x the headcount. You are a qualified lawyer with a Master's degree in Law and a strong background in financial services. You've independently run a compliance or legal function across multiple jurisdictions, not just supported one. You've had direct dialogue with regulators and know how to represent a legal position without a script. You've managed a small specialist legal team, set their KPIs, and held them to it. You can challenge senior leadership with data and translate complex regulatory risk into something a decision-maker can act on in two minutes. You design AI systems, not just use them, you've eliminated manual legal work at scale and built workflows others now rely on. You know the difference between work that's on time and work that's good, and you've built the frameworks that make that distinction measurable. You make judgment calls on what gets automated, what stays human, and what gets escalated, and you're right more often than not. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Intern

Tony's Chocolonely·Netherlands

Why we are here Together, we can fight exploitation in cocoa. Full stop. Tony’s is an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. And to drive that mission forward, our People & Culture team plays a key role in finding and attracting the diverse talent that keeps Tony's growing. From writing job ads that make people want to apply, to building an employer brand that reflects who we really are, our Talent Acquisition team is where people strategy meets creativity. And that's where you come in. We're looking for a Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Intern to join our P&C team in Amsterdam. If you're excited about recruitment, employer branding, data-driven hiring, and making Tony's a place where the best and most diverse talent wants to work, this is your backstage pass. Here's what you'll learn: Recruitment and selection. Learn the steps of an end-to-end unbiased recruitment process: from strategy meeting to signed contract, including CV screening, structured interviewing, and assessing culture add and potential. Job marketing and sourcing. Learn how to write inclusive and compelling job ads, discover relevant marketing platforms and channels, and learn how to use sourcing to proactively reach specific talent. Data. Get familiar with recruitment metrics and how to analyze data to improve the hiring process. Employer branding. Learn what internal and external employer branding is, why it matters, and how to create authentic stories that reflect our company's values and mission. Project management. Learn and contribute to a small improvement project end-to-end (with coaching and support from your manager), including planning, mapping stakeholders, and rolling out the approach. Stakeholder management. Practice how to communicate updates and manage expectations with hiring managers and panels throughout the hiring process. Here's what you'll do: This isn't a "shadow and observe" internship. Here's what's on the table: Internship Recruitment Autumn '27: Run the internship recruitment and selection process for the Autumn 2027 cohort end-to-end, including planning, advertising, selecting, and hiring a diverse group of NL-based interns. Diversity & Inclusion: Identify opportunities to increase diversity and inclusion in our hiring processes. Talent Support: Support the talent team with writing job ads, CV screening, and talent mapping to identify and hire top, diverse talent. Junior Role Hiring: Manage the end-to-end hiring process for a junior role (with support and coaching), including conducting talent screens, assessing motivation and fit, salary negotiation, and offer acceptance. Employer Branding Content: Support the creation of employer branding and recruitment marketing content such as updating career sites, LinkedIn pages, internal career spotlights, and external social posts. Occasionally support the wider People & Culture and Office teams with ad hoc tasks and projects when needed. Job requirements: You're studying Business, Human Resource Management, Psychology, or a related field.

Technology Risk Officer

bunq·Netherlands

At bunq, we're on a mission to Make Life Easy for our users by creating the most user-centric banking experience out there. To deliver on that promise, our services must be reliable 100% of the time. That's where you come in. We're looking for a Technology Risk Officer who takes ownership of making sure our ICT infrastructure can withstand and recover from disruption. As second line of defense, you'll test whether our controls actually work, not just whether they exist on paper, so weaknesses are found before they become incidents, protecting user's trust and letting bunq scale without operational risk growing alongside it. Take Ownership 🚀 As a Technology Risk Officer, you'll show bunq's excellence both inside and out by keeping our critical systems resilient and our controls effective. This role is yours to own, we'll show you the tools and the end goal, but how you get there is up to you. Here's how you'll do it: Continuously test and challenge bunq's ICT infrastructure to surface weaknesses before they affect our users, going beyond "are we compliant" to verify controls actually work, and use AI to automate testing, monitoring, and evidence collection at scale. When something goes wrong, dig into what really happened in the engineering process, interpret results to separate meaningful risk from noise, and prioritize remediation accordingly. Lead business continuity and disaster recovery testing, designing realistic drills for technology, business processes, and critical suppliers. Coordinate across technical and business teams, challenging control owners and driving weaknesses through to resolution, this role is yours to own end to end. You have deep knowledge of operational and ICT resilience, and you think like an engineer, you want to understand what actually happened in a system, not just whether a checkbox was ticked. You have proven skills in automated control testing and monitoring, and can design continuous tests and alerts that catch control failures early. You have deep expertise in business continuity and resilience testing, and can design realistic drills across technology, process, and supplier risk. You have strong risk judgement and analytical skills, and can prioritize remediation based on what actually matters. You have proven stakeholder management and challenge skills, comfortable pushing engineering teams directly and holding the line, and you're comfortable using AI to design and scale risk processes.
