Senior Quality Systems Officer

Vitestro·Netherlands

About Vitestro Founded in 2017 in Utrecht, Vitestro is pioneering the future of blood collection with the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ (ARPD™). This groundbreaking medical device combines advanced multi-modal imaging (near-infrared, ultrasound, and Doppler ultrasound) with robotics and AI to perform the entire diagnostic blood draw procedure autonomously. By addressing critical healthcare staffing shortages and improving patient experience, Vitestro is transforming one of the most common and essential medical procedures. With more than 130 team members and growing rapidly, we are scaling our impact. As we placed our first devices with customers, we are now expanding our team to ensure successful implementation and long-term reliability. At Vitestro, we are committed to continuous innovation and improvement. As our Senior QS officer, you focus on the continuous improvement of our quality systems and support the company through the change control process. You review existing quality processes, identify where they can be improved or made more compliant, and help develop practical solutions to make those improvements happen. You also guide colleagues through change control. Rather than executing every change yourself, you ensure people understand and follow the process, ask the right questions, consider the relevant implications, obtain the necessary approvals, and ensure that changes are completed Correctly and on time. This role requires a strong analytical and systematic mindset combined with a pragmatic approach to quality. You should be comfortable identifying problems, but more importantly, finding workable solutions and alternatives. You understand the requirements of working in a regulated environment without approaching quality as simply enforcing rules. You are able to adapt, think creatively and help the organisation find compliant ways forward. First months at Vitestro (as in the example below) In your first months, you get to know Vitestro’s quality systems, processes, and the teams working with them. You build a thorough understanding of our Change Control process and start supporting colleagues through changes, helping them consider the right questions and ensuring changes are complete, appropriately approved, and progressing on time. As you become familiar with how we work, you identify opportunities to improve the compliance and efficiency of the Change Control process and develop a clear plan for implementing those improvements. This is what success looks like: After 12 months, you are a trusted partner for colleagues working with our quality systems and Change Control process. You confidently support the organization in executing changes, ensuring they are well considered, appropriately approved, and completed on time. You have improved the Change Control process to strengthen both compliance and efficiency, and have identified and implemented improvements across other areas of the QMS. You combine strong analytical thinking with a pragmatic and creative approach. You don’t just identify where something could be improved; you translate those insights into practical solutions and, when one approach doesn’t work, find alternative ways forward. What You’ll Bring: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to assess existing processes, identify where issues occur and determine how they can be improved. Experience working in a regulated environment. Relevant professional experience that provides an understanding of how quality systems and processes work. A systematic, process-oriented way of working. The ability to identify and develop solutions to quality and process problems. A pragmatic and adaptable mindset, with the ability to think beyond rigid or established approaches while respecting regulatory requirements. The ability to guide colleagues through processes by asking questions, highlighting considerations and ensuring required steps are completed. Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, applied sciences, biomedical engineering, or similar technical field Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Systems for medical devices. Nice to have: Experience across multiple organisations or environments, providing exposure to different ways of working. Medical-device experience can be relevant but is not required. Experience with MDSAP How We Work At Vitestro, ownership is not a slogan - it is an expectation. We trust people to take responsibility, make decisions, and drive work forward. We believe breakthroughs happen when talented people combine dedication, accountability, and teamwork. That means: We take initiative rather than wait for direction. We focus on execution and delivering results. We proactively remove blockers and help each other succeed. We challenge ideas, not people. We continuously learn, improve, and raise the bar. We celebrate team success over individual heroics. We move fast, but we do so thoughtfully. We care deeply about quality because the technology we build ultimately impacts patients and healthcare professionals. If you are looking for an environment where you can make a significant contribution, take ownership of meaningful work, and be surrounded by highly motivated colleagues, we'd love to meet you. What we offer Competitive salary including pension plan 25 days of annual leave based on a full-time position Hybrid work model Working together in a high-skilled team with our home base in Utrecht Frequent out-of-work activities with our team, and annual company weekend away. Training budget Opportunity to be key shaper of a new global industry niche: autonomous medical robotics We’re big fans of working from the office – this is where team spirit comes alive. At the same time, we offer flexibility, allowing up to two (out of 5) days of working from home for those who prefer it. Are you excited? We totally understand that and so are we! By joining us, you can play an active role in changing the future of health care. Excited to join our revolution? Then we’d love to hear from you! If you think you've got what it takes, but you don't meet all the requirements - we still recommend you apply. We would love to learn about your interest and experience and consider if you can be a good fit for Vitestro. Nobody is a perfect fit, and we welcome applications with imperfections. We offer a learning environment where we grow together!

It ensures resilience through secure, reliable infrastructure, and manages hosting, networks, access and incident response. The team is evolving from a function that supported a relatively uniform, single-organization tech stack of approximately 150 users into a globally coordinated department supporting approximately 500 users across a broad range of regions, time zones, languages, technical maturity levels and operational practices.  As B Lab consolidates multiple historically independent organizations into a unified operating model through the network transformation, Op Tech is adding regional IT support coverage (US & Canada, Europe, UK, Latin America, APAC & AANZ, with shared coverage for Africa) and dedicated security ownership, while keeping centralized governance, platform ownership and alignment of internal technology initiatives. About the Opportunity B Lab is seeking an IT Security & Compliance Lead to own security governance across the global network. Consolidation increases security exposure as organizations with different controls come together, and this role exists to set a consistent baseline and raise our security posture proactively rather than reactively. The Lead conducts security audits and risk assessments, sets and enforces baseline security standards, maintains our information security policy set, coordinates incident response, and supports data protection compliance in the jurisdictions where B Lab operates. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Information Management, the Regional IT Administrators, and the product, engineering and data teams (including the Data Governance Lead), this role drives consistent security maturity across the network's systems and helps people across the network work securely. Core Responsibilities  Security Governance, Audits, and Assessments Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments of network systems, applications and processes, and maintain a prioritized risk register Establish and maintain a security baseline across the network, aligned to a recognized framework (for example ISO/IEC 27001:2022) Track and report security posture and maturity over time to the Technology leadership team, with clear metrics Run security reviews of new and existing vendors and technology platforms (third-party risk), including SaaS tools used by regional and market teams Coordinate external penetration testing and vulnerability scanning, and track remediation with system owners Identity, access and platform security Define and monitor access control standards (MFA, SSO, least privilege, joiner/mover/leaver processes) across core platforms such as Google Workspace and Salesforce Partner with Regional IT Administrators on endpoint and device security standards for a distributed, remote-first workforce, moving toward a zero-trust model Advise Product & Platform Engineering on secure-by-design practices for B Lab's digital  Security policy development and awareness Own and maintain the information security policy set (including the Information Security, Backup & Recovery and Security Incident Management policies) and the standards and procedures that support it Refine policies as the network consolidates, and communicate changes clearly to staff across regions and languages Own the network-wide security awareness program (KnowBe4), including training, phishing simulations and completion reporting Contribute the security perspective to the B Lab AI Policy and to the safe adoption of AI tools Incident response and resilience Own and maintain the incident response plan, covering detection, escalation, containment, communication and post-incident review Serve as lead coordinator during security incidents, working with Legal, Communications and affected regions Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including testing backup and recovery procedures Compliance and risk management support Support data protection compliance across the regions where B Lab operates (for example GDPR, UK GDPR and Brazil's LGPD), in partnership with Legal and the Data Governance Lead Partner with Legal, HR, Finance and other teams on compliance matters, such as data processing agreements, data subject requests and breach notification Maintain documentation and evidence that supports audits, partner and funder due diligence, and regulatory inquiries   About You 3+ years of experience in information security, IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC), or a closely related field Strong understanding of networking concepts, cybersecurity, and implementing best practices to ensure compliance with data and regulatory tech laws. Strong understanding of at least one recognized cybersecurity framework  Experience conducting security audits, risk assessments and vendor security reviews Working knowledge of data protection regulations relevant to a global organization (for example GDPR, LGPD) Experience developing or maintaining incident response and business continuity plans Hands-on familiarity with cloud and SaaS security, especially Google Workspace administration and identity and access management Ability to explain security risk in plain language to non-technical colleagues, and to write clear policies In your application, please note any additional experiences, platform competencies or technical skills that you believe are relevant to your preparedness for this role. The following is not strictly required but would allow you to thrive in this role: Experience in a nonprofit, federated or multi-entity organization, or in integrating security controls after a merger or consolidation Experience with Salesforce security, security awareness platforms (such as KnowBe4), or endpoint management tools Experience with Google Vault or similar eDiscovery and data retention tools Consider themselves a relentless problem solver, with a collaborative style and a systems-thinking approach Be ready to take on growing challenges in a complex, global organization Have a positive outlook, and a consistent and positive manner working with others Have a strong desire to learn, improve and apply Know when to drive a workstream independently Know when to recommend outside resources, and how to advise leadership on technology and security strategy Major objectives for the role in the first 6-12 months Perform a network-wide risk assessment: assess the security posture of B Lab and consolidating entities, identify gaps, and produce a prioritized risk register and roadmap. Establish and enforce a security baseline: using the assessment, define a clear baseline (identity, devices, data, vendors) and drive implementation with the Regional IT Administrators to close the highest-priority gaps. Refresh the policy set: review and update the information security policies so they apply to the consolidated network, and get them approved and communicated. Build a security awareness and incident response culture: take ownership of KnowBe4, run training and phishing simulations, and publish an incident response plan so staff know how to report threats and the technology team has a defined remediation process.  Compensation Details B Lab has a compensation plan that includes: A yearly salary in the range of R$212,960 - R$261,030 (not including the 13th salary) Sick & other leave in accordance with Brazilian statutory leave allowance Company provided laptop We also offer other benefits that are based on company policy and are not included in your contract and therefore are subject to change or addition as our organization works to support our staff. About B Lab B Lab™ is the nonprofit behind Certified B Corporations™, a community of businesses that meet verified social, environmental, and governance standards. Together, our movement is working towards a more inclusive, equitable, and fair economic system. Our history B Lab began in 2006 with the idea that a different kind of economy was not only possible — it was necessary. Our founders Andrew Kassoy, Bart Houlahan, and Jay Coen Gilbert believed there was a better way to do business: better for workers, better for communities, and better for the planet. When our movement’s first 81 Founding B Corps signed the Declaration of Interdependence in 2007, they were not just proposing a better way of doing business. They were proposing a different definition altogether.  What we’ve achieved  B Lab became known for certifying B Corporations™, companies that meet verified standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. But we do much more than that. We help mobilize a global community of businesses committed to collective action on society’s most critical challenges. In 2010, B Lab was part of successfully drafting and passing benefit corporation in Maryland, the first U.S. state to do so. This created a legal framework that allows companies to keep their values of care and community, not just shareholder value, at the forefront. Today, benefit corporation legislation is active in 52 jurisdictions around the world.  Our future In 2024, leaders from across the network agreed to evolve into a more integrated organization that embodies interdependence. This next iteration of our global network will balance global coherence with local agency to achieve our vision of economic systems change. We are now building this future together.

Integration Engineer – Hospital & Device Connectivity

General Description We are looking for an Integration Engineer to realize, maintain, and grow the interfaces between hospital laboratory information systems (LIS), Vitestro's venipuncture device, and the online services we use to deploy and manage our installed base. This is the connection that turns a laboratory order into a blood draw and returns a verified collection record, without it, the device cannot do its job. Your job is realizing each new hospital connection, writing the transformations and mappings for their specific LIS, testing and going live with their IT and lab staff, and maintaining and incrementally extending our Apache Camel gateway as new requirements come in. Over time you also grow into ownership of the device IoT side of the platform: provisioning, configuration, certificate lifecycle, update distribution, and fleet health monitoring. As the platform matures, this role may also extend into adjacent connectivity initiatives — such as remote access/support tooling for hospital deployments, or setting up and maintaining internal IT integrations in n8n — though hospital LIS integration remains the core and largest part of the job. You will join the Platform & Connectivity team and work daily with cloud engineers, backend engineers, device software engineers, the cybersecurity team, and QA/RA. Every hospital brings a different LIS, a different API, and a different network reality, so a large part of the engineering is turning that variety into something configurable rather than rebuilt for each site. You will also be on the hospital side of the table. Realizing an interface means integration testing with hospital IT and laboratory staff, and being the person who stays calm and clear on the day of go-live. If you enjoy hands-on integration engineering, solving challenging technical problems, and building high-quality, safe systems in a regulated environment, you will thrive in this role. This is what success looks like: In 12 months, multiple hospitals are live on the gateway through a configuration-driven onboarding process, with no dependency on the original build contractor. The person has taken full, independent ownership of maintaining and extending the gateway, and has grown into a meaningful role on the device IoT/fleet side of the platform — including provisioning, certificates, updates, and monitoring. As the platform matures, the role has room to expand into adjacent connectivity work, such as remote support tooling or building and maintaining internal IT integrations in n8n. What You'll Bring: Above all: a "can do", solution-oriented mentality — someone who picks up new technical areas quickly rather than someone who already has years of depth in every tool we use Background in Software Engineering or Backend Development, with 3+ years building integrations between systems — Java preferred; comparable depth in another JVM/backend language is also welcome Demonstrable production integration work: routing and transformation, mapping between systems with different data models, error handling, and automated testing of interfaces. Apache Camel experience is a plus since it's our orchestration layer, but not a requirement Working knowledge of REST APIs (auth, versioning, error handling) — depth in idempotency/versioning nuances can be picked up on the job Comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, or AWS CDK) — prior hands-on experience is a plus, not a requirement Basic understanding of security fundamentals for cross-organizational interfaces (mTLS, certificates, secrets management) — willingness and ability to get up to speed here matters more than existing depth Proficiency with Linux and scripting in Python or Bash The ability to sit with a hospital IT architect or a laboratory manager and agree an interface without either side leaving the room confused Fluent in English, Dutch a nice to have but not a necessity Valuable, but not required: AWS fundamentals: containerised workloads, managed databases, secrets management, logging, and monitoring Experience delivering software in a regulated industry Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR Device fleet management at scale: AWS IoT, edge deployment, and over-the-air update mechanisms Having commissioned interfaces on hospital premises, with the scheduling and change-window realities that come with it How We Work At Vitestro, ownership is not a slogan - it is an expectation. We trust people to take responsibility, make decisions, and drive work forward. We believe breakthroughs happen when talented people combine dedication, accountability, and teamwork. That means: • We take initiative rather than wait for direction. • We focus on execution and delivering results. • We proactively remove blockers and help each other succeed. • We challenge ideas, not people. • We continuously learn, improve, and raise the bar. • We celebrate team success over individual heroics. We move fast, but we do so thoughtfully. We care deeply about quality because the technology we build ultimately impacts patients and healthcare professionals. Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Search & Allocation

Fixico·Netherlands

About Fixico Fixico is a leading European technology platform that transforms how fleets manage vehicle repair and maintenance. Through Fixico One, we bring repair and maintenance together in one connected platform and marketplace. This gives fleet operators more control over costs, lead times and quality. Today, more than 250 businesses use Fixico, supported by a network of 15,000+ repair partners across Europe. Now we're taking our next big step: the US market. About the role Every repair job on our platform needs to find the right shop. Our matching already combines smart technology with the expertise of our operations team. Now we want to make it fully automated, measurable and ready for the US. We're looking for the engineer who leads that. You'll set the vision, make the key calls and build the engine that decides which shop gets which job. You start lean, with our Product Manager for dispatch and our Data Scientist. You ship a first version fast, prove it works and grow the team from there. The heart of the job: steer a job to the best shop, invite several shops to quote, or combine both. And do it without double bookings, lost quotes or lower shop acceptance. What you will be doing Set the technical vision and own the architecture for search, matching and allocation Ship a first working version fast, then scale it market by market Build the dispatch flow: steering, tendering and a hybrid cascade with timers, retries and escalation Build a scoring layer we can tune for speed, price, lead time or quality, without a rebuild Make the build versus buy calls and decide where AI adds value Grow the team around the engine, while staying hands-on and building the hard parts yourself Tech stack The engine will be its own service, and you choose how it’s built. Language and framework are your call. The condition: your fellow engineers need to be able to maintain and extend it, so you weigh that in every choice. For context, the rest of our platform runs on PHP (Laravel) and Node.js, with React and Next.js on the frontend, on Google Cloud and Kubernetes. 8+ years of engineering experience at Staff, Principal or Lead level, and writing production code in the last 3 years You've built the first version of a matching, allocation, dispatch or assignment engine yourself, not just tuned an existing one Deep experience with event-driven, long-running workflows: state machines, idempotency, retries, timeouts, at-least-once processing, outbox or saga patterns. Temporal, Cadence or Camunda is a strong plus You've replaced a live system while it kept running, using shadow mode or gradual cutover, without losing performance Experience with a two-sided marketplace where suppliers have limited capacity, like delivery, ride-hailing, freight or repair networks. You know how allocation choices affect supplier engagement You make good decisions with limited data: cold start, calibration, experimentation or bandits. Our markets have hundreds of shops each, not millions of listings You've been the lead technical voice next to Product and Data, setting direction and making build versus buy calls Fluent English; Dutch is a plus Nice to have Tendering, RFQ or auction mechanics Experience in mobility, automotive or insurance Why join us You'll lead the system at the centre of our business, with our CPO as your sponsor. You start small and shape how it grows, including the team. Your work decides how thousands of repair shops get work, and it's key to our US launch. You'll join a talented international engineering team in Amsterdam and Sri Lanka, and work from our office overlooking the Rijksmuseum.
