Teamlead Production | NTS Drachten

NTS·Netherlands

"At NTS, we make it possible together. Technology inspires and drives us; it is our passion. Every day, we work on unique solutions for complex challenges. Whether it's ultra-complex or ultra-precise solutions, we are proud of what we do and what we deliver." Do you want to discover what is possible together? Do you get energy from developing people and processes, and ensuring that a production team brings out the best in themselves every day? Are you looking for an independent leadership role at a compact, entrepreneurial high-tech location where precision down to the micron level makes the difference? Then start as a Production Team Leader at NTS Drachten and let's make it possible together! Job Description As a Production Team Leader at NTS Drachten, you lead a production environment where highly accurate precision parts are made for leading customers in the semiconductor and analytical industry. NTS Drachten, with over 120 employees, is a compact and independent location, separate from the other NTS sites. This makes this role distinctly independent: the lines are short, and you have plenty of room to set the direction yourself. What we create here requires true craftsmanship. Think of ultra-precise wire EDM and machining down to the micron level, in high-quality and sometimes exotic materials, where precise volume production and challenging NPI processes alternate. As a Production Team Leader, you ensure that this craftsmanship runs smoothly, safely, and with quality on the shop floor every day. You are responsible for leading and developing a team of approximately 20 to 25 employees and oversee multiple departments, including Assembly, Heat Treatment, EDM, and conventional machining. You actively involve your team in the organization's developments, in improving efficiency and quality awareness, and together with management, translate departmental policies into concrete team objectives. Throughout the production process, you continuously focus on safety, quality, logistics, and technology, and adjust as needed. You are part of a team of three team leaders and report directly to the Production Manager, who is responsible for the entire production. This gives you the opportunity to take ownership of the output, quality, and development of your department. Furthermore, your responsibilities include: Leading and developing your team and the underlying departments, including Assembly, Heat Treatment, EDM, and conventional machining; Translating departmental policies into concrete team objectives and daily monitoring of planning, quality, and delivery reliability; Coaching, guiding, and developing employees, including related HR tasks; Monitoring and adjusting performance indicators, such as daily planning realization, quality, and time registration; Addressing complex, departmental disruptions and quality issues and ensuring structural solutions; Investigating and implementing process improvements to streamline work processes; Participating in daily production meetings and coordinating with colleagues from Quality, Work Preparation, Planning, NPI, and Projects. Requirements We are looking for a decisive and connecting leader with the following background: Minimum of vocational level 4 or higher education, preferably with a completed technical education; Demonstrable experience in managing (technical) employees; Strong leadership and coaching skills; Affinity with technology and the high-tech manufacturing industry; Decisiveness, entrepreneurship, and sense of responsibility; A proactive attitude and a strong drive for continuous improvement; Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Your Benefits At NTS, we combine our passion for technology with innovative solutions for complex challenges. You will have the freedom and trust to fully utilize and develop your talents in a dynamic and energetic environment. We invest in both technology and you as a future colleague! With this challenge, we offer the following benefits: Salary ranging from €4,800.00 to €6,000.00 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications; Over 40 days off: 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days with a full-time position; Personal development and growth opportunities, for example, through training and education; Yearly budget of €150 gross, usable for vitality, bike plan, or gym via the Alleo app; Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer (max. 50 km one way) or full reimbursement of public transport costs; Excellent pension scheme via PME; Laptop and mobile phone; Free fresh fruit at work. About NTS We provide unique solutions for complex challenges and drive the technological progress of our customers. By combining development, production, and assembly, we play an integral role in bringing the supply chain together. We combine the best skills and smartest ideas into a working system for the most advanced Semiconductor, Opto-Mechatronic, and Analytical solutions in the world. This is why we have grown into a Tier-1 supplier for OEMs and an international player operating from various locations in Europe, Asia, and the US. Whether it's ultra-complex or ultra-precise solutions, we are proud of what we do and what we deliver." Do you want to discover together what is possible? Are you skilled in 5-axis milling on a Yasda, Kern, or Mikron and can you set up, program, and measure your work to within a few microns accurately? Do you prefer working on compact single pieces and small series in titanium, molybdenum, or stainless steel rather than mass production? Then start as a CNC Miller at NTS Drachten and let's make it possible together! Job description As a CNC Miller at NTS Drachten, you are at the foundation of our production process. You work independently on our 5-axis milling machines from Yasda, Kern, and Mikron, with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls. No mass production, but single pieces and small series in high-quality and exotic materials such as titanium, molybdenum, niobium, platinum, stainless steel, and Stavax. Each product is different, so your work remains varied and technically challenging. You work in a compact team of about four machinists at your own production site, in two shifts. The lines are short, and the atmosphere is direct and down-to-earth. Together with engineering and work preparation, you make new products feasible and look for the best way to machine them. What you don't know, you will learn here on the work floor from your closest colleagues, at a pace that suits your experience. If you want to progress further, you can develop into a programmer or machining specialist with us. Your responsibilities also include: Independently setting up, operating, and optimizing our 5-axis CNC milling machines (Yasda, Kern, and Mikron); Programming independently in TopSolid 7 or at the Heidenhain or Fanuc control; Preparing fixtures and checking tools, products, and materials based on technical drawings and work instructions; Milling compact single pieces and small series to an accuracy of about 4 microns; Monitoring the quality of your own work and measuring it according to our customers' tight tolerances. Requirements We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller who loves precision work and brings the following: A completed technical education at MBO level 3 or 4, preferably in Machining or Mechanical Engineering; Demonstrable experience with independently setting up, operating, and programming 5-axis CNC milling machines; Experience with programming in CAM, preferably TopSolid, and at the control (Heidenhain or Fanuc); Good command of the English language in word and writing, for drawings, work instructions, and communication in the workplace; Willingness to work in 2-shifts (6:00 to 14:30 and 14:15 to 23:00, Monday to Thursday; and Friday until 21:45). Your benefits At NTS, we combine our passion for technology with innovative solutions for complex challenges. You will have the freedom and trust to fully utilize and develop your talents in a dynamic and energetic environment. We invest in both technology and in you as a future colleague! With this challenge, we offer the following benefits: Salary from €3,000 to €4,200 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications; Shift allowance of 17.19% when working in 2-shifts; Over 40 days off: 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days with a full-time position; Personal development and growth opportunities, for example through training and courses; Annual budget of €150 gross, freely spendable, including for vitality, bike plan, or gym via the Alleo app; Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer (max. 50 km one way) or full reimbursement of public transport costs; Excellent pension scheme via PME; Free fresh fruit at work.
